In the highlight of the show the identity of super villain A.D. was revealed to be Alex Drake, Spencer’s twin sister. This drew a lot of shock from loyal fans and rumour peddlers who had early formulated different theories as to the identity of the super villain. This is however not the only good news for the couple as they would also be getting married.

Before the finally was aired there had been reports from the executive producer Marlene King that the final episode would be two hours long with would be paced like a future film which would mean that it would come off as feature film. This was exactly the case as the 7 season long thriller came to close. Additionally, whether or not the series has been settled is not clear after the final episode as questions are still left unanswered about fictional town Rosewood Pennsylvania.

Other resolution in the series saw Alison and Emily still living together raising their twin children (the fact that they are twins might come as a surprise to many). • Ron Howard Excited Upon Selection To Direct “Star Wars” Han Solo Spinoff Movie

Ron Howard Excited Upon Selection To Direct “Star Wars” Han Solo Spinoff Movie

Ron Howard is seemingly excited with his new responsibility of directing the “Star Wars” Han Solo spinoff movie. In his recent statement to top news reporters, he said that he was ready to immerse himself deeply into studying “Star Wars” lore.

While speaking on Friday at the Cannes Lions advertising and media conference, Howard outlined that he was indeed a great fan and that it was a great honor that he had been asked to lend his voice to the [Star Wars] universe.

On Thursday, Disney’s Lucasfilm made the move to officially tap Howard to finish the movie. This happened after the studio president Kathleen Kennedy fired directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord. The president fired the duo in the course of this week after they were caught up overstepping their remit by going off-script with comedic touches, something considered unprofessional by the management.

According to Variety.com, Howards has described the new development as a little opportunity that just popped up. This was after he was asked by founder and CEO of WPP, Sir Martin Sorrell about his views in regards to the “Star Wars” job.

Sorrell is one of the top investors of Imagine Entertainment, a production provider that was co-founded and run by Brian Grazer and Howard. With the infusion of $100 million from Raine Group last year, Howard revealed that the company had plans underway to expand beyond TV and film to go way up to branded-content work.

While addressing a number of top journalists that had come after him in a move to strike a better understanding regarding the matter, Howard said, “That’s one of the reasons I’m here [at Cannes Lions]. The next iteration of Imagine, the one we hope goes forward and beyond us, is all about storytelling.”

Sorrell went ahead to ask Kraft to give his thoughts regarding President Trump. He declined to make any comments for reasons best known to him. Sorrel has said that as a company they have no egos in the advertising business and that they did not even know how to spell the word.

  • Bill Cosby to Educate Young Men and Women about Sexual Violence

Bill Cosby to Educate Young Men and Women about Sexual Violence

A few days after a judge declared a mistrial in the sexual assault case against actor and comedian, Bill Cosby, he announced he would be educating young men and woman in July on being charged with sexual misconduct. He would be holding town hall meetings to discuss how to avoid sexual violence accusations.

His representative, Andrew Wratt, while making the announcement on a local news show in Alabama said “…this issue can affect any young person, especially young athletes of today and they need to know what they are facing when they are hanging out and partying.” Another representative, Ebonee Benson made similar comments.

Bill who has over sixty accusations of sexual misconduct hanging over his head was declared a free man after the mistrial was granted in his case last Saturday in Cosby’s only criminal case. The complainant, Andrea Constand accused Cosby of drugging and molesting her in his mansion in Pennsylvania in 2004. The actor was charged early enough to beat the statute of limitation which is what has substantially prevented his other accusers of bring suit against him. He was charged with three counts of sexual assault which if convicted could have earned him up to 30 years behind bars. The judge had to declare a mistrial as the jury was said to be “hopelessly deadlocked”.

While reacting to the news, Vice President of Rainn, an anti-sexual violence group advised Bill Cosby to focus his attention on advising young people on commenting sexual assault in the place of helping after the fact.

It is unclear what Mr Cosby intentions are in holding these town hall meetings. He could be trying to genuinely repair his severely damaged public image or it could all be a publicity stunt. Either way it is clear that the jury is still out on how history would remember Cosby whether as a talented comedian or as a disgraced serial sexual assault perpetrator.

  • The Han Solo Directors Firing and Its credit implications

The Han Solo Directors Firing and Its credit implications

Disney and Lucas films recently announced their intention to part ways with movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller after disagreement over the portrayer of the major character “Hans Solo.” Lucasfilm chief, Kathleen Kenndy and co-writer/executive, Lawrence Kasdan reportedly has misunderstandings as to lord’s portrayal of the comical aspect of the character, which eventually led to the letting go.

The film houses have announced that director, Ron Howard, would replace the duo and shooting would continue in July. Howard would meet with leading actors to decide the future of the movie in the nearest future.

If buzz is anything to go by then the movie riding on its star wars origin would be a massive box office hit. Questions have been however raised as to how the credits for the film would be shared after its change of director so late in production. The Directors Guild of America who is the authority on credit related issues have been silent on the issue suggesting that they want to observe the situation before giving an informed position.

Several other sources close to the film house have refused to give comments as to how the credit situation would be resolved. It is important to note however that this is not the first time a director would be let go during film production. Curtis Hanson had to step down for health related reasons as the director of “Chasing Mavericks.” However, that situation was peculiar for two major reasons. The change was amicable and the production was not as late as the Han Solo situation. Statements by the Directors Guild of America would help chart a course for future negotiations between the director and the film house.

How the film houses navigate this situation would make or mare the progress of the spinoff. These would all become clearer in the nearest future but as at today still remains unclear.

  • Tom Brokaw Reinforces Megyn Kelly’s Interview With Alex Jones

Tom Brokaw Reinforces Megyn Kelly’s Interview With Alex Jones

NBC News has engaged Tom Brokaw to provide an olive branch to the argument of the parents of the elementary school, Sandy Hook, in which the children were massacred in 2012. Megyn Kelly’s interview with the controversial Alex Jones was aired on Sunday night. Brokaw brought an editorial that wrapped up the program echoing the defense of the interview that many people didn’t want it to be broadcasted.

Kelly commenced the interview with Jones by addressing the controversy that has surrounded the interview. She stated that many people didn’t want the program to be aired on the channel because Jone’s allegations are both offensive and scandalous on the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre. She continued to add that Alex Jones is not going anywhere any time soon and the interview will go on as planned.

Kelly supported the justification of the interview stating that Alex Jones is a star with many listeners and even has the ear of the president. The interview prompted a lot of resentments especially from the people of Connecticut, where the incidence occurred that left about 20 school going children and other six adults were shot dead by a gunman.

The local NBC branch in Connecticut where the shooting happened refused to air or comment on the interview. Brokaw stated in his speech that he feels for the parents of the victims and that the pain they are undergoing cannot be felt by anyone else who didn’t encounter the loss of the loved ones directly. He urged the people not to allow some agents of doom to destroy the life of the innocent and go unpunished.

Jones has in the past questioned the ‘official story’ surrounding the Sandy Hook massacre and argued that a political cover-up must have been involved. His theory has been criticized by many people who claim that Jones has mercilessly ridiculed the families of the victims. Though Jones statement on the incident faced a lot of emotions of anger from the public, it seems to have made the headlines on NBC news highlights regardless of the victim’s outcry.
