    Bad Girl Riri has a new man in her life and it’s got everyone buzzing. The Barbadians star was pictured in a sexy PDA with a handsome brunette in Spain this week. The identity of the new man was later revealed to be billionaire Saudi business man Hassan Jameel. Jameel family owns the distribution rights for Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia and is worth $1.5 billion making him the richest of the star’s long list of ex-lovers.

    According to The Sun, unlike Rihanna’s past flings this might be the real deal. The newspaper claims that a source close to the star has revealed that Rihanna is completely in love with the Saudi billionaire and that have been spending a lot of time together trying to get away from the public eye.

    The new man, who is said to have ties to the Saudi royal family had previously dated British model Naomi Campbell in 2016. Jameel and the legendary British screen goddess were spotted at the Summertime Festival in London last year confirming they were at the time in a relationship. There is however no report as to how the relationship ended.

    An interesting twist to the new story is the fact that Naomi Campbell and Rihanna use to be best of friends and even appeared in W magazine Balmain spread together in 2014 but their relationship went sour in March. The stars unfollowed each other on social media fuelling a feud between the pair. Campbell, when asked about the fact that she and Riri might not be in good terms denied such claims and said “I don’t have beef, especially with black women that I think are powerful”. This comments does nothing to quell the beef rumour but whether or not the rift between the ex bff was caused by the new man is unknown.

    Rihanna who had previously dated music star Chris Brown and rapper Drake has not confirmed or denied the story. Her fans on the other hand are having a field day with the story as they are shading the star’s ex on social media most especially Drake. Shortly after the release of the PDA photos fans created the #RihannaHasAManParty and mentioned drake and some of her most recent lovers in numerous tweets.

    After the visible discontent showed by the members of the senate to the proposed health care bill earlier in the week Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is proposing to rewrite the bill and resubmit to the Congressional Budget Office for reassessment. The senator is hoping for a swift and favourable assessment so that the bill can be passed before the senate recess in august. However, the aftermath of the Congressional Budget Office report on the original bill has led to infighting in the senate. The infighting is more evident with republican senators who have different policy agenda and have clashed with respect to the bill.

    In a bid to chart a way forward for the embattled bill, members of the Grand Old Party held a lunch meeting on Wednesday championed by the majority leader. The lunch however ended in a deadlock as republican senators could not agree on a way forward for the bill. Major dispute at the lunch arose between conservative republican Ted Cruz who is representing Texas and moderates led by Susan Collins of Maine.

    The disagreement over the bill, by the senators rest in one major issue which is the Consumer Freedom principle championed by Cruz. The proposal opens the door for companies to sell health insurance that do not meet the Affordable Care Act standard. Moderates disagreed with the proposal on the ground that it would pave the way for companies to segregate against sicker citizens in getting health care.

    The discussion at the lunch did not however yield any productive result as one senator described the discussions as just “running in circles”. Senator Cruz, a former presidential candidate for the GOP, said most of the discussion at the lunch was to “reduce premiums to make health insurance more affordable for families who are struggling.”

    President Trump in responding to the setback that the bill has had said “Democrats purposely misstated Medicaid under new Senate bill — actually goes up,” However some have questioned the president’s understanding of the issues in the bill.

    The bill which is supposed to be a land mark achievement for the president is turning out to be a banana peel.

    For a long time fans of marvel hit comic character “Spiderman” have clamoured for the character like other Marvel character to be included as part of marvel movies. This has been in the past made impossible since Sony pictures held the exclusive right to use Spiderman since 1999. Bringing the character into marvel movies would have been too expensive for marvel as they would have to pay Sony for the rights to use the character. However, a new deal between Sony and Marvel has made this relatively cheap for marvel.

    In a report released by the Los Angeles Times the foundation for the deal was said to have been laid when Sony executives Amy Pascal and Michael Lynton met with Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter in 2015 to chart a new course with regards to how the Spiderman franchise is handled. Sony, coming off a not so impressive release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which was a box office flop, was willing to renegotiate terms with Marvel on how best to deal with Spiderman.

    According to reliable sources close to the film house, the new deal ensures that marvel would not have to pay Sony for the rights to cast Spiderman in their already successful franchises “Captain America: Civil War,” and “Avengers”. Though on the other side of the deal is the fact that Sony do not need to pay marvel royalties from revenue derived from any movie by Sony that cast Spiderman. However, this is subject to some box office milestones that trigger Marvel right to enjoy financial benefits from the movies.
