No one is disputing the fact that Shia LaBeouf could, from time to time, be very disorderly and uncontrollable. But in as much as we might wish to look at his dark side, it is critical to just come to terms with the fact that he is an amazing actor.
Indeed he has gotten involved in a series of controversies that resulted in the actor brushing shoulders with the feds. Most recently, his conduct with local police officers at Savannah, Georgia, where he tried to resist arrest. He could be heard shouting at the police asking them why they were arresting him since he was an American.
LaBeouf was taken into custody over claims of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and obstruction. Saturday morning had witnessed him put into custody, a matter that hit headlines with severe impact. The behavior of the renowned celebrity is sparking a lot of confusion among his die-hard fans, who are unable to draw the line between his great talent and his social behavior.
The 31-year-old actor was recently interviewed by some reporters that were closely following up on the matter. He said, “I am deeply ashamed of my behavior and make no excuses for it. I don’t know if these statements are too frequent, or not shared often enough, but I am certain that my actions warrant a very sincere apology to the arresting officers, and I am grateful for their restraint.”
LaBeouf has regrets over his outright disrespect for authority and he termed it problematic and destructive. He thinks of the matter as his lowest moment. Asides from this, the actor also admitted that he had over a long period of time struggled with addiction. He added that he was doing something about it and hoped that it would soon redeem himself.
The actor urged the federal officers, fans and all people that were affected by his behavior to forgive him.
