    One of the 20th century’s greatest mysteries is without a doubt the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Recently, the History channel showcased a photograph that stirred emotion among a lot of people. Apparently, it depicted her in the Marshall Islands on a dock.

    As everyone was busy guessing, a Japanese blogger showed up knocking everyone off balance with a new development to the story. He revealed that this particular photo was taken some two years back. That meant that the person in the picture wasn’t her since it was taken before she went missing.

    History won’t take the matter lying down. It will be launching an investigation that will help establish whether or not the blogger’s claims are true. Asides from that, it has also promised to be transparent and will be revealing its findings without any degree of alteration. The channel affirmed that what mattered to it the most was the historical accuracy.

    The woman in the photo resembled Earhart a great deal. She was standing close to a man who was purportedly Fred Noonan, her navigator. It was so convincing that a large group of people had started to believe that it was indeed her.

    However, a Japanese blogger, according to NBC News, has brought a completely new twist to the story, leaving everyone second guessing.

    It was on Tuesday when the blogger outlined that the same photo was included in a Japanese travel book. That was definitely some two years before the mysterious disappearance of Earhart. A lot of theories have been forwarded.

    One of the most dominant ones was that the two landed and were captured by the Japanese military. They were kept in captivity until they eventually died. Another group believes that the plane was seen crash, after which they were captured and taken away by unknown people.

The source also claims that the split was amicable as the couple have vowed to remain friends. Also, the fact that they have both been quiet on Instagram since May have fuelled the break up as they no longer like each other’s pictures.

    Taylor met Lourd shortly before the actress lost her mother Carrie Fisher and Grandmother Debbie Reynolds last December. The former Twilight star stood by the actress through the difficult time and helped her grief the consecutive losses. The couple were pictured together at the funeral later in January where Taylor was seen holding Billie’s hands.

    Lautner was spotted parting at Bootsy Bellows at NOBU Malibu for the 4th of July celebration obviously without his better half. He clearly appeared to have moved on from the break up. Also Billie has said she would be focusing on work in the meantime as she is to cast in the hit series “American Horror Story”.

    Taylor Lautner, who is an actor, model and martial artist came to the limelight when he played Jacob Black in The Twilight series which is an adaptation of a novel with the same title written by Stephanie Meyer. He stared alongside Kristen Stewart Robert Pattison as the three major characters of the series. In 2016, he joined the main cast of FOX black comedy series Scream Queens. Billie Lourd on the other hand was born to a family of actresses as her mother and grandmother was both actresses. The actress has starred in two Star Wars movies in the past and was also part of the cast of Scream Queens.

    Joey Chestnut popularly known as Joey “Jaws” Chestnut was for a record 10th time crowned the champion of the men’s title in the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest after he downed 72 hot dogs containing dogs and buns in 10 minutes. In the female category¸ Miki Sudoalso reign supreme by consuming a personal record best of 41 hot dogs in 10 minutes. She has also won the female category 4 times in a row.

    The contest was interrupted by five people who tried to stop the event from holding but were arrested by the police. The perpetrators were later discovered to be animal right activists that questioned the motive of holding the contest. They later issued a statement identifying themselves as a group known as Direct Action Everywhere and said they wanted Nathan to stop holding the contest.

    This minor incident did not however change the mood of the event as Chestnut broke his personal best record of 70 dogs and buns which he set at last year’s event. The winner, sweating profusely after the contest said “There’s no secret: I love to eat, and I love doing it, I love to win…” He also explained that he had to push his body to the limit to win this particular contest. Carmen Cincotti came second in the battle after downing 62 dogs and buns and Matt “The Megatoad” Stonie who was the winner in 2015 came third with 48 dogs and buns consumed.

    Sudo, who was originally credited with 36 hot dogs, had the number adjusted to 41 to claim victory in the women’s category. She later told ESPN that she pushed herself to come back better and stronger this year. Coming in at second place in the women category was Michelle Lesco who consumed 32 ½ buns to clinch the title and in third place was Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas aged 50 with a closely contested spot after eating 30 buns to wrap up the trio of winners.

    Whether or not as Joey “Jaws” Chestnut can keep on breaking his incredible record would be revealed in due time. The 4th of July competition ended in a resounding ovation for all the participants and audience.
