The lovers of Jay Z music have a reason to smile now that the top rapper has dropped his highly anticipated 4:44 album. The Grammy winner seems to be closely making references to his comrades in the industry, his career and of course you don’t expect him to leave out Beyonce and the twins.
In the past few weeks, a number of clips featuring Oscar winners Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o and Donald Glover have been dropped. This is expected to paint a picture to the fans in regards to what they should expect by the moment the full album gets unveiled.
The first commercial teasers featured the Moonlight actor boxing as the top celebrity rapped these words in the background: “Letter to my dad that I never wrote/Speeches I prepared that I never spoke/Words on a paper that I never read/Prose is never pen, they stayed in my head.”
Back in 2013, Jay Z released Magna Carta Holy Grail. As a matter of fact, this featured numerous hits for instance “Holy Grail” that he did with Justin Timberlake. It is thanks to this chart-topping track that the two clinched the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Grammy Award.

By mentioning Family Feud in the song, the top rapper disclosed that he was referring to the struggle that exists in the industry between the old rappers and the news ones. According to him, no single party won in this wild fight.
It is a great move by Jay though it is coming at a moment when all eyes are on him in regards to how he fits in the fatherly role after Beyonce gave birth to twins.
